72% of people can’t name any female tech leaders – can you? Take the quiz

The gender gap in technology is no secret. Just 16% of the UK’s IT industry is made up of women and, with women making up only 18% of students enrolled in UK computing courses this year, it’s a long road to balancing the numbers.

That doesn’t mean, however, that women don’t occupy some of the world’s most prominent technology jobs.

Despite this, nearly three-quarters (72%) of the British public are unable to identify any female leaders in technology. Awareness certainly appears to be a key problem to this, with more women (77%) failing to name a female tech leader than men (66%) – suggesting that many just don’t know these role models exist.

But will you fare any better in identifying influential women in technology? Take the quiz and find out.
