New executive appointment Roy will bring 15 years’ management experience in European consumer technology businesses, with a particular focus in the automotive industry, to Cazoo, and will lead the planned launch of operations in France and Germany by the end of the year.
Reporting to group chief operating officer Paul Whitehead, Roy will also look to grow the current team of over 300 members of staff over the coming months.
Prior to joining Cazoo, Roy recently led the sale of eBay’s leading Nordic ecommerce platforms, dba and bilbasen, to the Schibsted Media Group, where he was CEO.
Additionally, he has held the role of chief product officer at mobile.de, helping to scale the company, and has also held several strategy and operations roles at eBay Europe, having started his career as an analyst for Oliver Wyman.
As one of the fastest growing businesses in Europe, Cazoo has sold over 35,000 cars in the UK since its launch less than two years ago.
